Classes

Come and play!

Dock 6 Pottery Classroom is a ceramics studio and learning space specializing in handmade pottery. The team behind this Minneapolis gallery and classroom believes that pottery should be enjoyed on both a visual and tactile level, instead of simply performing the role of just another household ornament.

Guests looking for a place to start their clay journey and learn the basics of the ceramic process can get hands-on experience during the many workshops and classes held at Dock 6 Pottery Classroom! Enthusiasts can benefit from our beginner friendly clay classes with lots of personal instruction provided by the studio's talented artists. Classes will guide their students through the basics of wheel-throwing and/or hand building techniques.

No minimum enrollment!

We will run classes no matter how small the class! Whether you sign up solo or with a group we will run our clay classes until the maximum capacity has been reached! Our classes will operate with one participant up to 6 people in a class!

Book your class in advance!

Online registration to all classes will close 72hours before the class time. Classes under 72hours are not available for booking. If you are having trouble signing up for a class please email d6classroom@gmail.com

Hand Building VS Pottery Wheel classes?

Hand Building is very fun to do! Great for young students and first timers. It often gives the maker more freedom to be creative and sculptural. Carving and adding clay designs to the surfaces will let you make your very own unique creation! *Open to all ages!

The Pottery Wheel can get you smooth and rounder vessels. It takes a few rounds of practice before you can control the form but our talented instructors will help you through each step! It’s the experience and practice that makes the wheel fun! *Ages 9+

How to purchase more than 1 seat?
